ADHD Business Owners Battle the Recession

frustrated woman looking at papersIt’s been an interesting couple of weeks. I’ve had Productivity Strategy Sessions with lots of ADHD business owners  inspired to talk with me personally after listening to my webinar, From Fried To Focus.

Strategy Sessions are personal conversations where we dig deep into the person’s business goals and ADHD challenges and then we brainstorm how to get their ADHD out of the way so they can reach their goals.

When you talk to 20 to 30 people within a few weeks who experience similar challenges, patterns begin to emerge.

One pattern I can’t ignore is how many ADHD business owners haven’t yet recovered from the recession.

Despite news reports that the economy is back stronger than ever, lots of ADHD run businesses are still struggling to gain back their pre-recession strength.

Unable to consistently focus and follow-through on priorities, ADHD business owners are a couple of years behind in the recovery.

They have the ideas to strategically adjust to the new business environment but they are missing the productivity skills to follow through and implement the changes needed.

They struggle for market share, to rebuild their client base, to reestablish a productive environment, and to reach their business potential.

As if that’s not sad enough, it goes deeper.

The constant drumbeat behind every strategy session was how, when a small business struggles, the business owner’s family struggles, too. Not enough family time and not enough money to ease the financial stress. Conflict with spouses who see lots of motion but weak results.

Does this ring true for you and your business? If it does then you would truly benefit from  working with an ADHD coach who specializes in business productivity.

Struggle is a choice. ADHD business owners can’t afford to ignore the skills and strategies need to pull out of the recession and run a successful, profitable business.
