book reviews ... Journeys
Through ADDulthood "Journeys Through ADDulthood" first caught my attention when a client came to his coaching call exhausted from pulling an "all nighter" reading this book. Buoyed by the feeling that Solden was describing his own life, he radiated new self-understanding. His reaction was not surprising. This is an excellent, well-written book for men and women with AD/HD. A caveat, however: "Journeys" is not an introduction to the subject of AD/HD. Solden writes primarily for adults who have accepted, and in many ways adapted, to their diagnosis yet still have problems because they haven’t made the life changes that will make them successful. This book really helps people with AD/HD learn to separate their difficulties from their gifts and talents. It’s packed with questions to help the reader better understand AD/HD's effects on daily life, as well as specific steps for identifying problem areas and creating solutions. Solden encourages us to forge ahead knowing that an AD/HD diagnosis need not mean getting less from life. Sari Solden
also wrote the groundbreaking "Women with Attention Deficit Disorder,"
which has sold more than 100,000 copies worldwide. Click here to order Journeys Through ADDulthood from Amazon.com
